Diego López: "I'm really happy with what we Valencia CF players are contributing to the Spanish national team"
The Valencia CF forward is through to the U21 EURO quarter-finals
Kang In has a strong goalscoring record against Villarreal CF teams from his time in the VCF Academy, but a special strike comes to mind against the Yellow Submarine. It came in March of 2018, when he was part of the Juvenil A side and decided that the regional derby was the moment to make an audacious attempt direct from a corner.
The 'Olympic goal' was a left handed hit into the top corner, straight from the set piece. Whilst not enough to give his side points in a game that ended 3-2 in Villarreal CF's favour, it was another display of the South Korean's incredible talent.
That 2017/18 season he would feature for both the Juvenil A team and VCF Mestalla, and later that calendar year he would debut for the first team (October 30th, 2018).
Now an established member of the senior squad, Kang In is hungry for playing time -especially with the scheduled games for the South Korean national team having been postponed. Back fresh and motivated, he is ready to help Valencia CF fight for regional bragging rights this weekends. So far this season he has already provided two assists in five appearances.
